It's rare that I get an opportunity to explore the beauty of living by the foot of the hills. I took a quick drive up to catch the golden hour. It was a cool relief to finally experience wind and slight chills; California's heat has been constant lately. I'm fully equipped for the fall season.

Now that school has started, it's finally nice to see that some places are a bit emptier during the day. Plus, my dog can enjoy barking at school children through the window again. It's easy for me to say; I don't start until late September. But in the meantime, I'll just sit back and take advantage of the peaceful daytime hours, until it is time for the intense transition to a well-known routine.

I have to admit, Target can have some pretty awesome clothing merchandise. This one's by Mossimo, and it also came in a black quilted pleather. Two thumbs up for Target!

I went to the elementary school I graduated from to take these pictures. Everything looked the same, except that I have completely outgrown the monkey bars, which kids usually had to pile up a hill of tanbark to stand on and reach. The only reoccurring memory that I have from that playground was when I hung upside down  on these bars, then somehow slipped off, landing face first. Yikes!
